A few years ago I had the opportunity to visit Bondurant High-Performance Driving School (when it was known as Bondulant Racing School) in Chandler, Arizona. I got to sit down with my friend and legendary race car driver, Bob Bondurant and his beautiful wife, Pat.
Pat was the driving school’s president and CEO at the time, and Bob’s biggest cheerleader. Bob suffered a stroke a while back but that didn’t change his enthusiasm for racing one bit! When he first drove Dodge’s Viper ACR, he loved it so much the only way to get him off the track was to let it run out of gas!
Sadly, Bob is in poor health these days and in 2019, Bondurant Racing School was acquired by new owners and called the Official High Performance Driving School of Dodge. Today, the current CEO and general manager is Franki (aka Francine) Buckman. I will always be grateful for the time I got to spend with Bob Bondurant.
